Method: Six subjects having swallowing disability confirmed by VFSS had recruited and treated by the traditional swallowing rehabilitation and EMG biofeedback (5 times per week, 30 min per each treatment). Before and after each treatment, VFSS was performed and occupational therapist trained for the swallowing rehabilitation measured PAS, GUSS, and FOIS.

Results: The swallowing function of the acute stroke patients had been improved in PAS, GUSS, and FOIS after EMG biofeedback.

Conclusion: It was verified that EMG biofeedback was effective for the treatment of swallowing rehabilitation.
